My Statement

For several of years now I have been thinking about how my friend's and family's important history/stories will be forgotten with time.

So, I am now asking for everyone on this earth to participate in helping create the true 'AlmostLostHistory' of this world.

I am now retired ..... yea!

Having felled and removed the root of an osage orange tree for a friend, I now have this extraordinarily hard and beautiful wood lying around. So far, I have whittled bits of this tree into kitchen mixing spoons, salad serving utensils and honey pot sticks, only for family members; all with a Celtic theme. Next, some pieces may become cutting boards. Osage orange wood grain and color is so striking that I try to let the piece of wood dictate its final shape. Thus, no two pieces are remotely the same. This hobby is soooooo relaxing. However, should you take up this hobby, please keep in mind just how sharp carving tools can be.

I also try to sit down every day after lunch to read for at least an hour. It is amazing how quickly the paper books and ibooks seem to pass before my eyes. How wonderful it is to finally read some of the books that I have so often wanted to read and passed by, to re-read some of my favorite books from years gone by and most importantly to read some wonderful new/old stories.

As I read and age and read and age some more, I have become increasingly concerned to disturbed ..... over how most of us have just let important family history disappear ........ as our family friends and relatives come and go.

Every single one of us has a story to tell. So, we now have the opportunity ....... within this web-site to tell these stories .................... to write and to ..... re-write history.
